Lentil hamburger
4 to 6 servings
Ingredients: 1 onion, 1 or 2 carrots, 1 pepper, 1 or 2 clove of garlic, 400gr. Cooked lentils, chickpea flour, salt and oil, to taste.
Preparation:
cut the onion, carrots, pepper and garlic thin. Sauté for about 15 minutes and add salt. Add lentils and mix together well. Put the mix in a bowl, add the chickpea flour and grind a bit with a fork or with a food processor. At this point you can add oregano or any herb like coriander to spice things up a bit. Let the mix cool in the fridge for about 10 minutes. Take out of the fridge and shape into patties by making little balls and squashing them a little. Fry over medium heat for about 7 minutes each side and your done. Now you can enjoy your vegan hamburger like a snack itself or with rice or smash potatoes on a side.
Note: if the mix is too wet, you can add more chickpea flour or breadcrumbs.
